Believe it or not in 6 weeks Josephine has grown quite a bit. She sure is enjoying Mommy's milk. The most incredible with Josephine is how much she just look all about with her eyes wide open. She is starting to spontaneously smile to us and also is trying to talk to us with funny little grunting sounds. How fast things go! I just can't believe it!

Croyez le ou pas en 6 semaines Joséphine a beaucoup grandit. Elle profite vraiment du lait de maman. Le plus incroyable à propos de Joséphine est son éveil, elle regarde partout les yeux grands ouverts. Elle commence à spontanément nous sourire et essaie aussi de nos parler avec de droles de petits sons. Combien elle grandit vite! je n'arrive pas à le croire!
Le beau temps étant au rendez-vous, nous profitons du jardin avec les filles et Joséphine découvre les joies d'être à l'extérieur. Les grandes aiment beaucoup jouer dehors et surtout prendre le goûter à leur petite table de jardin. Il y reste une place pour quand Joséphine sera assez grande pour s'y asseoir également.
The nice weather finally here, we spend some time in the garden with the girls and Josephine discovers the joy of being outside. The big girls love playing outside and taking an afternoon snack at their picnic table. They remains one space for Josephine to sit when she will be old enough.

On the other side of the Atlantic in Kansas City in my brother Jonathan and his wife Jessie's household, a new little cousin decided to show the end of his little nose. Yes! Eli finally made it! One week late, but he was so confortable in Mommy's tummy. Liam has a baby brother and a new companion to play with. Eli was born on April 11 th and weighed 8 lbs 10 oz and measured 20.5 inches. What a big boy! Here are a few pictures to introduce you to our brand new nephew.
De l'autre côté de l'Atlantique à Kansas City dans le foyer de mon frère Jonathan et Jessie sa femme, un nouveau petit cousin a décidé de pointer le bout de son petit nez. Eh oui! Eli est finalement arrivé! Avec une semaine de retard parce qu'on est si bien dans le ventre de maman. Liam a un petit frère et un nouveau compagnon de jeux. Eli est né le 11 avril et pesait plus de 4 kgs et mesurait environ 52 cms. Quel grand garçon! Voici quelques photos pour vous présenter notre tout nouveau neveu.

Pendant les vacances de Pâques en avril, nous avons eu la visite de Grandpa. C'était génial de l'avoir que ce soit son aide ou aussi les bons moments passés ensemble avec les filles. Ce fut l'occasion pour lui de découvrir Joséphine. Les grandes ont eu la joie de sortir entre les averses : faire du vélo au parc de la mairie, marcher jusqu'à à la ferme pour acheter des légumes et des fruits et y nourir les animaux avec Grandpa. Nous avons aussi fait des jeux de société ensemble : Triomino et d'autres. Papa est aussi une grande aide en cuisine : il fait de bonnes béchamels. Nous avons aussi mangé des banana-splits (Grand-père a acheté beaucoup de bananes à la ferme, c'était si bon marché!). Un après-midi il est resté avec Joséphine et moi je suis allé au grand parc Barbieux avec les grandes et elles ont grimpé dans les arbres et sur les rochers à la grotte. Bref nous avons eu du bon temps pendant ces vacances.
During the easter holidays in April, we had Grandpa's visit. It was great to have his help and spend good moments together with the girls. It was the opportunity for Grandpa to discover Josephine. The older girls were so happy to do outings with Grandpa in between rain sprays : a bike ride at the townhall parc and a walk down to the farm to by fruit and veggies and also feed the animals. We also played games together : Triomino and others. Dad is also of great help in the kitchen : he does a great white sauce. We also ate banana-splits (Grandpa bought lots of bananas at the farm, it was such a good deal!). One afternoon he stayed with Josephine while I walked to the larger parc Barbieux with the 3 others girls : they climbed on trees and on the rocks near a cave. To sumerize, we had good times during these holidays.

Comme vous le savez nous avons des artistes dans la famille : - Brittany joue la flûte (cf. article déjà publié), - Constance joue le saxophone et je vous mettrai une petite vidéo d'une de ses répétitions, - Et Emily joue deux notes à la flûte à bec, mais surtout a une mémoire d'éléphant et mémorise facilement des poèmes. En voici un petit échantillon, ainsi qu'une photo du poème.
As you know, we have artists in the family : - Brittany plays the flute (see a previous published article), - Constance plays the saxophone et I'll insert a video of one of her rehearsels, - And Emily plays 2 notes on the recorder, but also has a great memory and memorizes easily poems. Joséphine et moi sommes bien rentrées à la maison et la petite puce découvre la vie animée de notre maison. Les grandes soeurs sont plein d'attention pour elle et Papa aime aussi prendre soin de sa petite dernière : les bains, les changes, les calins, cela occupe bien notre temps. Joséphine n'aimait pas trop le bain au départ, mais tout doucement elle découvre des nouvelles sensations agréables quand elle est plongée dans l'eau tiède. Brittany et Constance essaient également de changer les couches, mais ce n'est pas évident de rhabiller un bébé qui bouge et gesticule, eh oui ce n'est pas une poupée!
Josephine and I are now home and this little bundle is discovering the animated life in our house. The big sisters are full of attention for her and Daddy also loves taken care of his last one : baths, diper changing, cuddles, all of this keeps us busy. Josephine didn't like baths to start with, but she is gradually discovering the nice sensations of being dived in warm water. Brittany and Constance also try to change dipers, but it's not easy to dress up a baby, who moves and swirls all the time, hey she's not a doll!

Papa vient de changer la couche de Joséphine et prend sa température. Elle n'aime pas quand on l'embête. / Daddy has just changed my diper and is taking my temperature. She doesn't like when we bother her.
Joséphine et moi avons passé 4 jours à la maternité histoire de récupérer de ce grand évènement qu'est l'accouchement. Pendant notre séjour, Papa venait tous les jours manger le midi avec nous et le soir il venait aussi avec les grandes soeurs, qui couvraient leur nouvelle petite soeur de bisous. Nous avons également eu de nombreuses autres visites : la famille avant tout c'est-à-dire Maminou et Papichou, Tonton MED et Tatie NAT avec mes cousins Lucas, Timothée et Siméon, ainsi que les cousins de Papa, les grandes tantes, etc, mais il y a eu aussi les amis, les gens de l'église, bref bien du monde. Quel succès cette petite Joséphine! Nous avons tout de même pu nous reposer et pour ma part, je me suis vite remise et je remercie aussi l'inventeur de la péridurale qui m'a permis d'avoir un accouchement très facile : Joséphine est sortie comme une fleur, je n'ai presque pas eu à pousser, car elle voulait sortir toute seule.
Josephine and I spent 4 days in the hospital to recuperate from this big event that was the delivery. During our stay, Daddy came every day to eat lunch with us and after work he also came along with the big sisters, who covered they new baby sister with kisses. We also had a big number of visits : the family first of all Grandma and Grandpa, Uncle Marc-Etienne and Aunt Nathalie with my cousins Lucas, Timothy and Simeon, as well as Dad's cousins and great aunts, etc, but also visits from friends, people from church, to sumerize lots of people. What succes this little Josephine! We did find some time to rest and for myself I recovered rapidly and I thank the man who invented the epidural which enabled me to have and easy delivery : Josephine came out so easily, I hardly had to push, she wanted to come out on her own.

Comme vous le voyez nous allons toutes les deux biens et Joséphine est très éveillée, les yeux grands ouverts! As you may notice we are both well and Josephine is very alert, her eyes wide open!
Joséphine ne fait pas 4kg660 mais 3kg660... l'émotion certainement.

Je pensais que quelques photos, ainsi qu'un petit film vous permettraient de voir à quel point nous avançons. Pierre a eu du coeur à l'ouvrage. Son frère Marc-Etienne l'a beaucoup aidé, ainsi qu'Alain notre pasteur. Donc les choses avancent plus vite.
I thought a few pictures and a short film would enable you to see to which point we're advancing. Pierre has worked very hard. His brother Marc-Etienne has helped him a lot, as well as Alain our pastor. Therefore things advance at a higher rythm.
