Joséphine a fait ses tous premiers pas le 2 mai. Evidemment nous n'avons pas pu la filmer sur le vif, mais les jours suivants nous avons réalisé une petite vidéo. De jour en jour elle prend de l'assurance. C'est la liberté et la découverte.
Josephine took her first steps on May 2nd. Of course we weren't able to make a video of her right away, but a few days later we managed. Day after day she's gaining in assurance. It's liberty to walk and discovery too.
Enfin nous pouvons commencer à profiter un peu plus du jardin, car le printemps est là. Le jardin verdit et les arbres se couvrent de feuilles, sans parler des fleurs qui sortent. Joséphine a eu la joie de découvrir la petite voiture bleue et jaune sur la terrasse et à vite compris commencer elle fonctionnait, mais elle a seulement trouver la marche arrière.
At last spring has come and we can spend more time in the garden. The garden is turning green, leaves are starting to cover the trees and the flowers are blooming. Josephine has disovered our yellow and blue Little Tikes car on the patio and sure found out rapidly how it works, the only thing is that she only found the reverse gear.

Dimanche 29 mars nous avons eu la présentation de Joséphine à l'église. Ce fut un très bon moment et nous étions bien entourés par les gens de l'église, la famille et 7 couples d'amis présents pour l'occasion. Nous sommes vraiment heureux d'avoir Joséphine dans notre famille et prions que Dieu nous aide à l'élever et qu'elle puisse s'épanouir dans la vie.
Sunday March 29th we had Josephine's dedication at church. It really was a good moment and we were well supported by the folk at church, the family and also 7 couples of friends who came for the opportunity. We are very grateful for Josephine's life and her being in our family and pray that God will help us in raising her so she can grow to have a full life.

Ce jour-là nous avons à nouveau fêté l'anniversaire de Joséphine avec Papichou, Maminou et les oncles, tantes et cousins. C'était chouette de tous se retrouver et surtout pour les cousins de jouer ensemble. That day we celebrated Josephine's birthday with Grandpa, Grandma, oncles, aunts and cousins (on dad's side). It was great to be all together and especially for the cousins to play together.

Le 25 mars 2009, notre petite Joséphine a soufflé sa première bougie. Manière de parler, car elle n'a pas su la souffler d'elle-même. Par contre, elle s'est très bien débrouillé pour attraper la crème sur le gâteau et le manger ça en général ça se fait tout seul avec elle. Voici 2 petites vidéos pour preuve.
March 25th, 2009 our little Josephine blew her first candle. Well way of talking, she didn't manage to blow it herself. On the contrary, she sure managed to catch the whipped cream on top the cake and eaten it was no problem for her, that's something she's very good at. Here are 2 short videos to proove it.

Salut à tous! Enfin nous pointons le bout du nez avec des mois de retard et de photos et vidéos. Après l'anniversaire de Brittany, le grand évènement fut le Carnaval de Croix et le premier défilé de Pierre avec l'harmonie municipale. Trompette en mains, il nous a impressioné avec ses compagnons musiciens. Le thème de ce carnaval était les animaux fantastiques. Nous avons fait une petite vidéo pour que vous ayez un aperçu des animaux bizarres qu'il y avait. Nous avons fait tout le défilé à pied soit un bon 2 heures de marche, vous imaginez dans quel état étaient nos pieds. Pierre aussi était bien fatigué à la fin et moi aussi car j'ai porté Joséphine tout le long dans le porte-bébé. Mais on s'est très bien amusé et les filles aussi!
Hi y'all! At last we appear again on this blog with month worth of pictures and videos late. After Brittany's birthday, the great event was the town carnaval with Pierre's march all through town with the local band. With his trumpet in his hands he really impressed us with his musician companions. The theme of this carnaval was fantastic animals. We made a short video so you may see these weard animals. We marched thru town during 2 hours, so imagine the state of our feet after that. Pierre was really tired and me too, for I carried Josephine on me. We sure did have fun and the girls too!

Ca y est la quatrième dent est là et c'est particulièrement mignon de voir Joséphine sourire avec ses nouvelles dents. Elle a 11 mois, bientôt 1 an et tous les jours elle découvre de nouvelles choses. En ce moment elle joue beaucoup avec le téléphone. Elle en a en jouet, mais elle prend n'importe quel objet et le colle à son oreille pour faire semblant de téléphoner. L'autre jour à table nous mangeions des bâtonnets de carotte. J'en ai donné un à Joséphine qu'elle suçait tout en mangeant et soudainement elle l'a mis à son oreille et a fait un bruit tel que Ahah c'est-à-dire hallo. Ces grandes ne purent s'empêcher d'éclater de rire et de rentrer dans son jeu. C'était trop mignon.
Finally the 4th tooth is here and its particularly cute to see Josephine smile with her new teeths. She's 11 months, nearly 1 year old and she's discovering new things everyday. Right now she often likes to play pretend phoning someone. She has toy phones, but she'll take anything and stick it to her ear and pretend she's phoning someone. The other day we were sitting at the table for lunch and eating carrot sticks. I gave one to Josephine to suck on while eating and all of a sudden she put the carrot agains her ear and made a sound like ahah which meant Hallo! Her oldest sisters could help giggling and got into her game right away. T'was so cute.

Eh oui, nous y sommes Brittany a eu 10 ans le 21 février! Le temps a passé si vite et elle devient une magnifique jeune fille. Nous l'avons entouré à cette occasion avec toute la famille de Pierre : Maminou, Papichou, tonton Marc-Etienne, tatie Nath et les garçons Lucas, Timothée et Siméon et tatie Anne, tonton Sam et Ruben et Flavie. C'était chouette de se rassembler tous et les cousins sont toujours heureux de se retrouver et de jouer ensemble. Nous nous sommes régalés avec le gâteau, autant les grands que les petits. Brittany a reçu plein de playmobil pour aller avec son seaquarium et ses dauphins et les enfants ont bien joué avec. On peut mettre de l'eau dans le bassin. Elle a aussi eu un nouveau vélo, mais de grande, ouh la la! Les preuves en image.

Le jour de l'anniversaire de Brittany le 21 février (soit la veille de la fête avec la famille), elle a retrouvé sa meilleure amie de son ancienne école, Claire. Elles étaient contentes de passer du temps ensemble. The day of Brittany's Birthday the 21rst of February (that the day before the whole family came), she spent some time with her best friend from her old school, her name is Claire. They were so happy to have some time together.

Joséphine a percée sa troisième incisive aujourd'hui (5 mars 2009). Enfin elle était longue à sortir celle-là. Maintenant elle découvre les joies de mâcher avec ses petites dents et découvre des nouveaux aliments, c'est bien mieux que de la bouillie tout le temps.
Josephine has cut thru her 3rd incisive today (March 5th, 2009). Finally it's out, this one was long to come out. Now she discovers the joy of chewing with her little teeth and discovers news things to eat, it's much better then crushed baby food all the time.

Décembre : nous avons eu des concerts au conservatoire de musique avecles filles, l'anniversaire des 8 ans de Constance et celui de Pierre, un peu plus vieux que sa fille quand même. December : we had a few concerts with the girls at their music school, also Constance's 8th birthday and Pierre's birthday, he's a little older than his daughter.

Noël est déjà si loin et pourtant nous avons passé de bons moments : la première semaine des vacances de Noël ici à Lille avec la famille de Pierre et ensuite avec Grandpa la deuxième semaine à Montpellier. Les filles ont fait le plein de temps de jeux avec leurs cousins et cousines. C'était très chouette! Christmas seems already so far although we had good times : the first week of our christmas holidays we spent here in Lille with Pierre's family and then we spent a week with Grandpa the second part of the holiday in Montpellier. The girls had lots of good playing times with their cousins. T'was great!

Janvier a filé à toute vitesse, mais l'hiver est bien là et nous avons eu des chutes de neige ici dans le Nord, mais elle ne reste jamais longtemps. January went so quickly, but the winter was there for sure and we had some snow here in the North, but it never stayed long.

En Janvier nous avons emmené Constance chez l'ophtalmologue et il nous a confirmé que sa vue avait baissé soudainement. Maintenant elle porte des lunettes. In January we also took Constance to the eye doctor and had confirmation that her sight had gone down fast. She now wears glasses.

Maintenant Février touche presque à sa fin et notre aînée Brittany vient de fêter ses 10 ans. Que le temps a passé vite, Brittany devient une grande fille et approche de l'adolescence à grands pas. Nous sommes très fiers d'elle dans tout ce qu'elle entreprend car elle est courageuse et persévérente. Elle met du coeur à l'ouvrage. Je vous met une petite vidéo de son premier spectacle de danse avec l'orchestre à corde du conservatoire. C'était magnifique et très émouvant pour moi, la maman. February is here and almost ending and our oldest Brittany has just turned 10. How fast time has gone by, our Brittany is such a big girl and approaching teenage so fast. We are very proud of her in all she does for she very courageous and perseveres lots. She puts all her heart in all she does. I'll put a small video of the first balley show she did with the chord orchestra of her school. It was beautiful and so moving for me, the mommy.
Evidemment au milieu de tout cela, Joséphine pousse très vite et prend exemple sur ses grandes soeurs. Sa dernière trouvaille est de faire bloubloublou dans le bain. C'est trop amusant. Of course amoung all of this, Josephine is growing very fast and taking her sisters for examples. Her last discovery is bubbling in her bath. It's so funny.
Quant à Emily, elle aussi grandit très vite et du haut de ses 5 ans 1/2 nous dit tous les soirs qu'elle doit faire ses devoirs (même si elle n'en a pas), car elle doit rendre compte à sa maîtresse dit-elle. Elle est toujours désireuse d'aider et d'apprendre à être une future petite mère au foyer, car elle veut m'aider dans la cuisine, avec le ménage et beaucoup d'autres choses.As for Emily, she's also growing quickly. She's 5 and a half and every evening says she's got homework to do (although she does'nt), for she has to report to her teacher the next day says she. She's always very eager to help and learn to be a future little indoor mother, she wants to help me cook, clean and do so many other things.
